Weighing product classification

The classification of weighing products, the classification of weighing products in the history of our country is based on the structure and use of the scale and its name. It is divided into three categories, namely steel scales, mechanical scales and electronic scales.

Steelyard

Steelyards have a long history and a huge market in my country. There are bone rods, wooden rods and metal rods (copper rods and aluminum rods) for scale rods; stone rods and metal rods for scale weights; two ropes and three ropes for lifting ropes.

The evolution of the unit of measurement from the use of baht and liang in the Xia and Shang dynasties to the development of baht, liang, gold, jun, and stone during the Zhou Dynasty (24 baht is one liang, sixteen liang is one catty, thirty catties is one jin, and four jin is one liang. Ten is one stone). According to ancient records, in ancient times, the Big Dipper, the Southern Dipper, and the Fu Lu Shou three stars were recorded as a total of 16 stars, and 16 stars were carved on the scale rod, so it became a 16-liang scale, which was used until the early days of liberation; In the 1950s, it was changed to the ten-liang system, that is, ten liang was one jin, and two jin was one kilogram.

Due to its simple production and convenient carrying, the steelyard scale is widely used. In the 1980s, the annual output of my country's steelyard scale reached tens of millions. However, the inconvenient operation, slow measurement speed and poor accuracy of the steelyard scale are its fatal defects. With the increasing prosperity of the market, this defect has caused more and more harm to the development of the market and the lives of the people, and its negative impact has far exceeded the scope of the shortage.

According to strong feedback from all walks of life, the State Bureau of Technical Supervision and the State Administration for Industry and Commerce jointly issued the "Notice on Restricting the Use of Steel Scales in Public Trade" on September 23, 1994. Spring dial scales, etc.) are replaced, which indicates that the steel scales that have been used for thousands of years will disappear from the stage of people's lives; however, as an important symbol in the history of Chinese civilization, its glorious imprint will be recorded in the annals of history forever.

Mechanical scale

Mechanical scales Mechanical scales refer to a general term for weighing instruments with mechanical structures as the fulcrum, including balances, case scales, platform scales, spring scales, as well as large and special industrial scales.

       1. Balances: various equal-arm levers with the weighing fulcrum in the middle, such as balances and pan balances (there are also unequal arm pan balances).

        2. Case scale: a lever-type mechanical scale weighing less than 50 kg (excluding 50 kg).

        3. Platform scales: lever-type mechanical scales weighing from 50kg to 1000kg.

        4. Spring scale: a scale that uses spring extension to find load, with single-sided display and double-sided display.

        5. Large mechanical scales and various special scales, including ground scales, ground scales, rail scales (light rail and heavy rail), hopper scales, belt scales, packaging scales, crane scales, steel scales, livestock scales, sugarcane scales, Grain sales scales, liquid quantitative scales, weighing vehicles, etc.; weight measuring instruments only used in a single industry or single process line are called special scales, such as postal scales, cigarette scales, etc.

The processing methods of mechanical weighing instruments are easy to master, the manufacturing cost and sales price are low, and the scope of use is very wide. Therefore, it still dominates the market of commercial weighing instruments in my country (accounting for more than 90% in terms of output), and also in industrial weighing instruments. occupies a considerable proportion. However, due to the limitations of design, processing, debugging methods and other conditions, mechanical weighing instruments are bulky, and their accuracy, weighing accuracy and measurement speed are restricted to a certain extent. Therefore, they have been gradually replaced by electronic products with superior performance. The market is gradually shrinking, and the processing capacity is obviously surplus.

Electronic scale

Electronic scale: The weight of the items loaded on the pedestal, plate and hook of the scale is balanced by the creep reaction of the sensor, and the scale digitally displayed by the instrument is an electronic scale.

The electronic scale integrates machine, electricity and instrument, and has the characteristics of multi-function, high precision, fast and dynamic measurement, stability and reliability, and represents the development direction of weighing instrument products. At present, the ten categories of weighing instruments (case scales, platform scales, ground scales, ground scales, crane scales, belt scales, hopper scales, inspection scales, rail scales and special scales) included in my country's product standards have all been electronic.

According to recent statistics, electronic products have accounted for about two-thirds of industrial weighing instruments (according to sales statistics). , electronic platform scales, electronic floor scales, electronic belt scales, electronic crane scales and electronic rail scales, etc.) have reached the international level in the early 1990s, and some products have reached the level in the mid-1990s; due to the rapid development of electronic technology in the past ten years, The processing capacity of commercial weighing instruments has grown rapidly, the cost of products has been greatly reduced, and the market has developed steadily.

Now, electronic weighing technology has been increasingly used in industrial production process control, and the functions and applications of electronic weighing instruments have expanded to a wider range of fields. With my country's entry into the WTO, the economic market has become more open, and a number of weighing products and technologies with international advanced levels (such as quantitative packaging scales, automatic weight inspection scales, label pricing scales, computer combination scales, pressure-resistant metering Coal machines, etc., as well as strain gauges, load cells, and weighing display production technology) entered my country, which will have a positive and huge impact on the further popularization and improvement of electronic scales.
